Resumen
Lope de Vega fue el escritor más prolífico del siglo XVII español. Cultivó todos los géneros literarios, pero su gran éxito lo consiguió como autor de comedias. Es la figura más representativa del Mecenazgo español, pues fueron varios los mecenas que lo mantuvieron. Gracias a su Epistolario podemos dar cuenta de cómo fue su vida, cómo era su personalidad y cuál era la relación que mantenía con los distintos mecenas. Una inagotable fuente de testimonios que desvelan un sinfín de aspectos que desconocíamos sobre la figura del Fénix.
