This paper analyses the behavior of Italian causative syntactic structures constructed with the verb “fare” in contemporary colloquial spoken Italian –as a result of the process that is changing the standard normative Italian. In order to study and to authenticate with real data these changes, we have used Google. We have observed that the morphosyntactic simplification and the search for communicative functionality generates the disappearance of certain structures, but at the same time favours that these syntactic structures acquire new uses and values.
