APROXIMACIÓN AL FENÓMENO RELIGIOSO DESDE LA OBRA POÉTICA DE JOSÉ ÁNGEL VALENTE Y LA OBRA PICTÓRICA DE ANISH KAPOOR

Resumen
Al acercarnos a la obra poética de José Ángel Valente vamos a observar un espacio de tonalidad desconocida presentado a modo de herida u ojo a través del cual se va a reunir un orden humano con uno divino. Esta oquedad o apertura va a ser comprendida como fenómeno sagrado de sentido desconocido y, en consecuencia, como motivo de duda y dolor para el creador. Un fenómeno de similares características lo podemos observar en la obra de Anish Kapoor, pese a lo cual, dada la espiritualidad más decidida del artista indio, el sentido que se le conferirá a este vacío vendrá acompañado de un grado de trascendencia religiosa satisfactorio.
A lo largo de estas páginas comentaremos el modo en que ambos artistas van a trabajar el mencionado aspecto con el propósito de comprender el sentido que cada uno de ellos confiere a su particular experiencia estética.
ABSTRACT
A symbolic approach to José Ángel Valente’s poetry will enable us to understand the void as a central element of his creation. This void will be presented like a wound or eye which makes possible the join between human and transcendental orders. However, due to the author’s skepticism, this transcendental order will be seen in a nihilistic perspective as a tragic spiritual emptiness. Moreover, we can see the same void in Anish Kapoor’s painting as a higher degree of spiritual awareness. So, on the one hand, the void will be mean an anguishing spiritual experience while, on the other hand, it will be compared to an open door which let the artist access to spiritual world. In short, this paper will endeavour to analyse the significance of the void in Valente and Kapoor works.
