ABSTRACT
The theoretical reflections about the presence and significance of a growing number of foreign authors who write in French as a result of experiences of exile different from post-colonial process, have opened up the debate on intercultural French literature in the XXI century. The study of the first novel of the French writer coming from China, Shan Sa, will allow us to illustrate formal and thematic parameters common to the rich set of intercultural French writers and specially writers coming from Eastern origin that are part of modern French literature.
