Proofreading

The Proofreader needs to work through the one or more formats listed under Proof Formats in the Layout section. At this stage, only typographical and formatting errors are identified. Following the method laid out in the journal's Proofreading Instructions, these errors are identified it he Corrections text-box. Given the Proofreader's expertise in the journal's formatting standards, the Proofreader may also wish to review the Author's proofreading corrections, in order to provide the Layout Editor with advice (e.g., ignore identified errors that are not errors according to this journal's standards).

Supplementary Files. The Proofreader should review the Supplementary Files, if any, for typographical errors. The Supplementary Files are published in their original format, but there may still be points that could be improved or made to more fully conform with the journal's style.
